Re: Does anyone know what to take for a mild concussion?
Hi, well hopefully he will want to see you again...... How were you diagnosed?
If you experience any other setbacks such as sleeping for extended periods of time over and above normal hours, headache or speech or memory problems...hopefully you will seek immediate care.
It does take time....
But, if you're concerned do an indepth search in the internet and see if there are any other questions you need to ask your doc.. Knowledge for patients is proactive care.. But unnecessary worry can cause more problems.
I hope you have no other problems along with the already suffered injury.
Best to you,
quincy

Re: Does anyone know what to take for a mild concussion?
Quincy, I have the headache and the sleeping for extended periods of time---that's all I want to do.
I'm so dizzy and lightheaded and nauseous.
He is going to see me again next week.
He just diagnosed me by my symptoms (I was hit in the head several times) and by examining my eyes. I had another mild concussion months ago from a car accident.

Woah, i think you need a second opinion, or go to the hospital since you're still not doing well.
OR call your doctor and ask him if you can get a head x-ray or CAT scan since this is the SECOND one you've had.
I don't know much about concussions....but did he say that what you're experiencing is normal?
Do you have someone around who can keep an eye on you to make sure if your symptoms get worse, you can be taken to seek help?

Maybe you can call him and ask if you should be sleeping a lot. Maybe not wait until next week. Have you checked the net as far as what normal symptoms are? Maybe I should as well since I don't know either!
