| 'Marble' under tounge after tonsils removed
I had my tonsils and adnoids out last Thurday, so I'm on day 6 or 7 of recovery. It's been going alright so far, my doctor told me right now I'm in the most painful phase. I have intense pain along my jaw line and in my ears. They said that's normal. However, two days after the surgury I noticed the left side of my tounge was numb. When I stick my tounge out, it looks like there is a marble under my tounge. My parents called the doctor and he said as long as I can breathe alright, it's probably just trama from when they put a retractor in to hold it down during the surgury. Anyway here I am Tuesday night and it's still numb and shapped funny. Has anyone had problems like this? Anyone who didn't know me would think I have a horrible tumor from the way it looks.
