I am fairly sure that it means you have the TB bacteria in your body, but you are not sick. Once you are infected with the bacteria, it can hang out in your body while your immune system keeps it at bay for years before you actually get sick. At this point, I don't think that you can pass it to others. You may be given medication to take for a while that will cause the bacteria in your body to be sealed up into little capsules so they won't (or are less likely to) cause an infection in the future. Be sure to follow your doctor's directions exactly. If you don't have money to pay for the treatment, don't worry, because I believe in most states TB treatment is free because it is such a public health issue.
