| Re: brusing easily...
Hi,
The above don't cause bruising....they cause one to bruise easily.
I was going to comment vitamin E as well. I'll add aspirin intake, very thin skin, low leg muscle tone, fragile capillaries, poor circulation, sitting for long periods of time with pressure on those areas....
I bruise easily as well. I've unfortunately inherited thin skin, low muscle tone and poor circulation. I... do take aspirin, am on a 5ASA med for ulcerative colitis, tend to sit for long periods of time and don't exercise as much as I should. I also carry a heavy bag for my work and realised there's a pattern related to that for some of my bruising.
If you notice it's excessive, you should definitely get your blood clotting factor checked out....as well as check into any meds or vitamins/supplements you're taking. It's true that some foods/vitamins/meds/alcohol do have a blood thinning quality.
Does it tend to run in your family? Have you been doing any work around the house, painting, leaning against something habitually...etc.
I once had a doctor who was more interested in my bruising than my health. He thought I was getting beaten. While that's a legit issue, it didn't apply to me and it didn't help the fact that his bedside manner was the pits.
I hope you're able to get it figured out.
