I broke out in hives yesterday. It started just around my neck area. It quickly spread to my arms and chest. Last night it was all over my face and back as well. Now its all over including my face, back, arms, neck, chest, legs, etc.

Is there anything I could do? It itches very badly and I just wanna get rid of them. I can't leave my house like this or anything.

Did you recently take any medications or eat any different foods? Are you sure it is hives? I know that Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever causes an all over the body rash, but it usually does not affect the face. If you can afford going to the doctor I would try that or possibly try taking some Benadryl to see if it will help the hives go away. If you have taken a medicine or eaten some food that you don't normally take or eat, then it probably is hives. If not, it's probably caused by something else and you should try to see a doctor. I hope you find out what's wrong soon. Benadryl should help relieve the itching, and you could also try Caladryl or calamine lotion. I hope you get to feeling better!

No I haven't taken any medication or eaten anything different. I have mono if that has anything to do with it. :-\

THE RASH PROBABLY IS FROM MONO since your not on any medication .[removed]

I had the same type rash a few weeks ago. My doctor gave me a shot of cortizone and it still took 5-7 days for it to go away. He said it was from a virus I had a week or two before. It started with a bad head cold, then the rash just like you have. Your is probably from the mono. Benedril and calamine is the best thing to keep the itching down. Hope you're better soon!
