| Sore Throat for two months
Hi,
Been reading this board for a week now. I see there is a lot of people on here with a wealth of info. So Im hoping someone can help me.
In December, I had conjestion, coughing, sore throat. It lasted a few days. Everything went away except the sore throat. ( Redness, white patches in the throat, and blister like things in the back of my throat) eww! However, it doesnt hurt.
I went to see my doctor and he gave me augmenten. This didnt help it.
I went back and he gave me prednizone and did a throat culture.He called me back said it was nothing serious, it was viral and no further mediciation is needed.
It has been two months now and its still infected. So my questions are
1. Does anyone know any over the counter mediciation that may help?
2. Has anyone had a sore throat for this long, and did it eventually go away?
3. Should I go to another doctor and get a second opinion?
