Much will depend on which foods you consumed prior to the episode. Remember, some foods absorb faster than others and then tend to drop blood sugar level fast. Starches and sweets will do this. Starches vary in how fast they convert to glucose. Best to eat protein with starches and/or sweets. Protein helps slow down the absorption. Eat a candy bar and your blood sugar will spike and then drop low for an example. Some people handle these foods better than others.

I would advise writing down what you ate and how long before when you have one of these episodes. This will help solve the mystry as to what is taking place.
