did i pull a muscle?

i turn my head left and right and it feels like i have a pain in the center of my back between my shoulder blades. kinda feels like my muscle is being pulled, but it also feels like a sharp pain.

Now your spine does not move when you twice your head in that area right?

Re: did i pull a muscle?

No, your spine down between your shoulderblades should not move when you just rotate your head. It could be your trapezius muscle, which has attachments in the neck region and also between the shoulderblades. You could try a heating pad and ibuprofen and see if it gets better in a few days. Of course, if it gets worse, or does not get better in a reasonable amount of time, see a doctor.
