| sore mouth
Hello, Hopefully someone here has experienced my symptoms. The doctor thinks I'm crazy. First off, I will tell you what meds I am currently taking. I take avandamet, amaryl, zetia, zestril and synthroid. Now, for the problem. 3 years ago my doctor said that my thyroid levels were too high so he had me stop taking the thyroid meds completely. Well, in about a months time my mouth was covered in sores, I could not eat or drink for 8 months while they tried to figure out the problem (ie. was it thrush, yeast or something else) nothing helped. Then I had another thyroid test and I was so low they were ready to admit me to the hospital. They slowly began to put thyroid meds back into my system. Well, low and behold the sores disappeared. Now, over the past 2 years they have been lowering my synthroid every 3 months as they keep telling me my levels are too high. Well, after being on various levels of synthroid I have had no symptoms for the past 2 years of the mouth problems, until they lowered my dose to 100mcg. Now, I am beginning to feel this rawness under my tongue again kind of on the inside of my bottom gums under the tongue as well as on the floor of my mouth. The doctor says she has never heard of this and there must be something else going on but they cannot figure it out. But, If I use just 2 doses of .125 mcg it seems to go away.
Has anyone had something llike this before?
Thanks for any advice
