| Choking - not the answer surely?
When I was 10, I was at school and got a pen top stuck in my throat during lunch and started choking.
Two female teachers found me and were going to call for first aid to come along but felt there was probably not enough time.
One teacher suggested the Heimlich manouevre but the other said I was too young and it could cause internal damage.
The solution they chose was for one of the teachers to squeeze my testicles while the other hit me on the back.
I have heard of both of these 'remedies' before but have no idea if they are actually effective.
At the time I didn't question it as I was so young but looking back I don't know if either was a proper thing to do, especially as both techniques were done quite hard.
However it did work although that may have been down to luck.
