flu symptoms?? please help!! important - Open to All Other Health Topics Message Board

I have the flu. I haven't had it since I was a kid so I'm not familiar with the symptoms. What I'm concerned about are the dizzy spells that I'm having. Plus my eyes hurt, when I move my eyes to look to the left or right it's painful and I go through a dizzy spell. I'm also having really, really bad headaches. For anyone that's familiar with the flu, are those common symptoms? Or should I be concerned that it's something else? I know for a fact that I have the flu based on my other symptoms plus I went to the doctor today, but I'm just confused about the dizzy spells I'm having especially when I move my eyes. My eyes hurt and so does my forehead.

Also, I clean with bleach a lot. On Tuesday, some diluted bleach (just a dribble) got into my eye. No big deal I thought, until I got the flu symptoms. Now I don't know if my eyes and head are hurting because of the bleach or because of my flu. I went to the eye doctor today and he said that my eyes are fine. What is you all's opinion? Are my symptoms flu symptoms or a reaction to the bleach?

It's most likely flu. Sometimes viruses can cause dizziness as they affect the equilibrium in the middle ear. Try to consume some salty liquids, like chicken soup or bouillon; it might help the dizziness.
