| What could possibly be causing all of this?
If anyone would read this and tell me what you think, I'd really appreciate it =)
I've been to the doctor/emergency room at least 10 times the past 2 months. 2 months ago as I was laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep, I suddenly felt like I was short of breath. It has never happened to me before so I didn't know what to think. The next day I still was having trouble breathing, and that night I had to go to the emergency room because I couldn't breathe / get my breaths in completely. They gave me an inhaler and shot. Didn't really seem to help all that much.
I went to the hospital 2 days ago because I couldn't get my breath in and I was wheezing, and my heart was beating faster than ever. I had an EKG and they gave me a lot of medicine but nothing really helped. The medicine helped my heartbeat, but not the breathing.
Anyway, to make a long story short, all of the doctors have pretty much said the same things since basically everything has been checked...that it's either:
- Acid Reflux
- Anxiety Attacks
I've had my heart checked so they don't think it's my heart, but I'm going to a lung specialist next month. They said my lung compacity is good and it's probably not asthma. Though I do wake up sometimes and feel stuff in my back where my lungs are. My thyroids have been checked, too. I'm currently on medications to keep my heart from beating too fast, anxiety, acid reflux, and some kind of breathing pill. The heart pill definitely keeps my heart good, and the heartburn pill seems to keep the acid down for the most part. But the breathing is still not normal.
Basically the symptoms are: shortness of breath, spitting A LOT (sometimes sinus drainage, and its very thick), fast heart beat, and wheezing (the wheezing isn't in my chest, its in my throat).
Do you have any ideas what this could be? What are your opinions?
Thanks a ton!
