Hello,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I just was very fortunate to locate this board. It seems to have every topic my family could possibly need to discuss.

I look forward to participating.

A little about me.

I am Melissa, age 33, from King, NC. I am BiPolar and let's face it.. Obese. I am 5'3 and weigh 198. Should be no more then 134. So i have a long way to go. I currently take celexa for my BiPolar disorder.

I am the mother of three wonderful boys. All of whom are Adhd and controlled by strick rules and parenting as well as various medications.

I am approaching my 5th anniversary to my soulmate Rick.

I struggle with many health issues and always prefer a Medication Free alternative. However I am not against medications when necessary.

I love to chat an have oodles of time so if there is anything I may be able to help someone with feel free to say hello!

Hi,
I am also new and feel fortunate to discover these boards. I am almost 27 and have struggled with Bipolar for many years. Mostly because I have not been Med compliant until 2 mo ago.
I have struggled with my weight as well (I got to 185), mostly due to stress but also very hard work I am down to 135.
My son has been diagnossed as Bipolar as well he is only 6. They were treating him for ADHD and his reaction to the meds was much like a bipolar response to being treated wrong.
