| Stomach problems after lap nissen
Not realy sure where to start, been looking on the internet for about a week to try firguring out what might be wrong with me since my doctors seem not to. Alright here goes I am a 22 year old male.
A couple of years ago i had a lap nissen done due to a hiatal hernia and acid reflux. After the surgery i was having a problem where i would be full after about 3 bites, so i went in to get checked out and had found out that the doctors had accidently tied my stomach inot a knot during the surgery. They went in and re-did the lap nissen, i was fine for while except I would have a problem when eating that food would get stuck and I would have to cough it back up. finally my wife made me go see the doctors again and I went in and they did a barium swollow which showed that I had a small pouch of my stomach pushing up next to my asophagas, so when i ate that pouch would fill with food and press agaisnt my asophagas blocking it untill the food drained out. well I went back under the knife and had the lap nissen done again, This time Ive had complications since the surgery.
My stomach bloats, basically fills up like a balloon if you press on it it feels bruised. Also i get pains in my chest randomly on either my right or left side. I seem to have no stamina at all loose my breath just walking up a flight of stairs or doing laundry at the house... also sometimes have problems swallowing kinda feels like im gagging or just a real uncomfortable feeling that makes your eyes want to water. I have done the radiated egg test and my results show that my stomach is slow to empty. I am going to be doing a barium swallow study on thursday.
Was curious if anyone else was or have heard of someone have the same symtoms or could help me figure out whats wrong, one of the things my doctor is leaning towards is maybe they damaged my vagus nerve during the operations. Except he stated if they had my stomache wouldnt empty at all...
Any input would be helpful thank you.
