Blood Blisters

In the last three months, I've had three blood blisters. Can't remember where the first one was, but one morning about three or four weeks ago, I woke up with one to the right (on the skin of my face) of my right eye. This morning I woke up with one on my left forearm. I've had no trauma to either of these areas -- the blood blisters seems to be appearing out of nowhere. Any thoughts?

Re: Blood Blisters

Maybe they arent blood blisters, it may be something else. Some purpura resemble blood blisters and there are a few cutaneous vasculities. My on had a few purpuric "lesions" on his legs and rear end show up for no apparent reason and he was tested for alot of things. They did a skin biopsy on 2 small ones and nothing concrete, just cutaneous vasculitis. He was 9 at the time but I am glad they came to the forefront because of that, severe arm swelling, and subconjuctival hemmorages in both eyes we found his liver enzymes thru the roof. They did the skin biopsy, bone marrow and liver biopsies from there. If that hadnt happened ,his liver may have been to far gone because of no other symptoms. Not saying any of that is what you have going on, I just think you should have it checked out because it could be from any number of things.I know with the several docs that looked at the blood blisters, it took blood labs to get to the bottom of it.It could as well be an allergy to something.Just wont know for sure till ya get it cheked out!!
