I let a friend move into my home when she got evicted from her apartment. she has had a small stroke with a brain bleed. her hand twiches. she has mental condition and seeks county mental help care. she can't pay rent and won't get a job or can't work because of her mental condition. it took me 9 months to get her to fill out federal disability papers and send them in. she is afraid of rejection. I got her to get food stamps. I don't know what to do. I need to get paid rent yet she dosen't make any effort to do so. Sould I kick her out.. I have talked to her about leaving and she clams up because she has no place to go. she is very lonley and hangs on to me to the point it drives me nuts. what should I do

I am sorry to hear of your friend's condition and I your friend realizes just how lucky they are to have you in their life. I would imagine the fear not only from the stroke but also perhaps those that exist with a mental condition though you did no specify which one/ones. It is a hard thing to give advice in this area that A) you either throw her out after maybe giving her notice so that she can hopefully find some place else B) have an agreement that once the disability is gotten perhaps she will kick in so much for rent and maybe a bit on back rent C) let her stay let the stress totally give you a heart attack and then you are both on the streets D) call the mental health agency and ask if they have any ideas. I know in my state near where I live there are several housing places that are specifically for those with mental illness such as Bipolar and etc. Perhaps there might be something that she would qualify for where you all live. Check out other agencies such as the United Way if you have one in your area. Often they may not have a service in taht area but they may know of something to help her and or you out.
