Last week I had my annual throat infection/tonsilitus (spl).
I've suffered every year since childhood with it, so got used to it and can usually get through it without meds. After 10 days the swallowing razorblades feeling went away but has left my tonsils feeling longer and resting always on the back of my tongue, which is most unpleasant.
Also now my chest feels tight and painfull when I take a deep breath but I don't have a chesty cough.
Any ideas?
By the way can't afford to go to the doctors at the moment as it's over 50euros just for consultation here.
My daughter when she was younger would get really sick from her throat infections and would get them about once a year as well. She always needed antibiodics to get better. She was told when she was younger that she would have to have her tonsils removed. I have read that as you get older your tonsils will shrink and will actually stop causing problems or decrease them greatly. This has been the case with my daughter.
If you get to be feeling really bad, please besure to see your doctor!
Hope this helps!
