please help describe romberg's sign positive
hi please can anyone help to describe what a positive romberg;s sign is and what it means .
i didnt know what board to post this on so ive tried here hope its ok regards debz

A positive romberg sign is when a patient is ask to stand with there feet together,eyes open and hold there arms straight out.If they lose there balance its positive.

2nd part of the test a person is ask to close there eyes,feet together and arms out.If they sway and lose balance ,then its positive.

this just tests your prioperception.and can indicate affectation of certain spinal tracts or the cerebellum in the brain.why was this test actually done on you?FB

11-20-01,placement of hardware for failed fusion
9-22-03,removal of cavernous hemangioma that was inside spinal cord. Neuro damage to L hand L leg and R leg.
