Temp fluctuating btwn 96.5 and 99.7 with insect bite
A few weeks ago I got bit on my leg by some sort of insect that didn't leave a mark or any redness, just swelling that covered about 3 inches. It felt like I got hit by a baseball. Now the swelling has gone down into two sections, hence, 2 bumps and a slight mark that may be the bite. I then got the same thing a few days ago in my lower shoulder area except this one has gone away. The area was tender and was almost identical to my leg. I know this all sounds really strange. A friend said that maybe I might have gotten a "mild" allergic reaction to an insect bite even if it was so small that it wasn't initially visable. Anyway, my temp is at 99.7 now. I don't feel bad right now but the achiness and chills comes and goes.

Hi Proverbs3:5. Get photos of your reaction, it is important documentation. Place a coin or ruler by the site before photographing to give it size defintion.
You may have been bitten by a tick or insect. Does the area resemble a bulls-eye? You need to see a doctor. If you were bitten by a tick, it needs to be taken seriously. Ticks can transmit several diseases such as Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis (HME & HGE), Babesiosis, Bartonella, and Mycoplasma. Early proper treatment is critical. Lyme disease often begins as flu-like symptoms.

No, just a faint red round mark that's smooth. It doesn't look like much but is all I have to go on in determining that it was an insect bite.
