How Long does it take before Antibiotics begin working
When you take anti's how long until they actually start working on the bacteria? Is it a matter of as soon as its in your bloodstream / area where the infection is, its already working away?

Antibiotics begin working as soon as they are in your blood stream but you will notice a improvement within 2-4 days usually.

Hi adam2000. If you happen to be getting treated for Lyme disease or a tick-borne illness, it is common to feel worse before feeling better.

Hi Adam,
[removed] antibiotics start working when they hit your bloodstream. You have to take the abx for 24hrs before you are not contagious anymore. Hope that helps.
