sometimes steve,it just takes the right person to come along to give you the answers to a particular question.while i do not unfortunetly know the answer to yours,my best advice would be to call the dialysis facility you are going to and ask them what the deal is.they would definitely know the answer to your question.
just from what i know abut dialysis,i would think,in the case of a diabetic,there would be some sort of plan in place,espescially since there are many many diabetics who are having to take dialysis.just the nature of the disease.they most definitely would not let you go into a diabetic crisis while being dialyzed.just give the facility a call.or any dialysis facility that may be listed in the phone book or some other place.any one of them would know the answer.good luck with your dialysis.i do hope a kidney becomes availiable for you soon.FB
