| Re: any ideas would be great!
just an FYI,but women for some reason seem to carry their stress right in the exact area where you described, for men its usually more frontal, like the forehead area?neck tension can cause some pretty nasty pain at times, and of course, any further stress can aggrevate the problem, then worrying about it,well a bit of a cycle can develop where you just keep recreating your own pain.you need to find ways to try and keep those muscles a bit less stressed.a chiro can help with that,or even having your doc refer you for some PT for neck pain where they will help to work out that tesion and stress and get rid of the trigger points that tend to develop when muscles are under constant stress and tension.
normally i wouldn't reccomend seeing a chiro unless your c spine has been cleared of any sort of major structural problems, just because their is such a risk to the very highly innervated c spine area when someone just starts to manipulate withut having the benefit of really knowing whats up in the cord and at the nerve level as they do with an MRI.but from what you have stated,it really doesn't sound as though you have any major problems up there,so i would consider it.that choice is entirely up to you.
even just getting a real good neck and upper shoulder massage would help alot(a good hint to your hubby for a good christmas present perhaps?)alot of massage facilitys do give something similar to a gift card or something along those lines?just a thought, afterall, you ARE carrying his child for him,its the least he can do for you.
but this really sounds as though you just have alot of tension and stress up in that whole area that just needs to be dissapated in some way.try getting some sort of a good thereputic massage and see how it all feels after.if things feel better, well you can probably chalk it all up to the stress thing,if not, well then there are other things you need to speak to your doc about.but from what you have stated, this really sounds like your average female who is carrying a load of stress.this can affect the area at the back of the head and also be in the whole upper back area since the muscles actually run that way.i,just because of constant c spine inflammation, have the back of my head down thru both shoulderblades just knotted up with trigger points 24/7.ice and heat can also help alot too.
i do hope you feel better soon.but get that massage and see how things feel after that.i am sure this will help you ALOT.congrats on the baby.FB
