| HOPE someone can help me with this....
I have been lurking and watching for something similar that is happening to me. But I haven't seen a similar problem with anyone.
For several months I have had a jumpy nerve or pulse around the back of my head, toward the top. It's so hard to describe it. I have it sometimes when I am awake during the day, but the most annoying is when I am awakened with it. It's like a contracting of a muscle, or the beating of a slow pulse, seeming to be on my scalp, not deep in my head. The pulsing is not regular, it can come and go. It does sometimes wake me out of a sound sleep. It is getting me crazy, because when it wakes me, it is usually towards 4:30 or 5 a.m., and I cannot get back to sleep, because it is there, on and off.
Does anyone have anything similar that has been diagnosed, or does anyone have any suggestions as to what this could be? My doctor asked if it was a headache, and I said no, which it isn't. I have dry eye syndrome, but don't know if it could be related to that. I usually put something in my eyes if I awaken, but it doesn't always relieve it.
If anyone has any ideas, please respond.
