Did I sustain a concussion?

So I had a couple of bad concussions a few years back, and now I worry about them everytime I bump my head or the like; here is the most recent case:

I was laying in bed, drinking some fine wine, and watching some ice hockey. My team lost and I got a little upset and rammed my head back into my pillow. It's pretty soft. So yeah what do you think about that? Concussion? No concussion? I feel alright today (this was last night.)

I didn't lose consciousness and I wasn't like slurring my words or repeating anything. I didn't experience any nausea. I think my head might hurt a bit but its not really a headache. I didn't feel lost like I did when I had my other concussions...

What do you guys think?

Thumbs down Re: Did I sustain a concussion?

I know how foolish this sounds, concussion and pillow should never be used in the same sentence, but...

I went to talk to my school's trainer today. I told him how I felt and he said I probably have a grade 1 concussion.

It's hard to explain how I feel. I've had more than my share of concussions recently (luckily, 3/4 of them were grade 1 or lesser), so I'm a bit educated in self-diagnosis. I don't have any of the pinnacle concussion symptoms, I never did, but I don't feel quite right. I asked the trainer about this, and he said its probably a result of me having had concussions in the past. He explained to me that because of the nature of the concussion (grade 1 and maybe not even that...) I should make a full recovery. It will probably take longer than a normal person. I can live with that.

What do you guys think about this whole thing? What's the prognosis?

I'm just scared.

I don't even play sports!

Re: Did I sustain a concussion?

I've been reading alot lately about how multiple concussions cause brain damage. They all seem to somewhat revolve around football players.

Let me make something clear. I've only had one grade 3 concussion, and the rest have been questionable concussions, even the doctors I went to were skeptical. I'm just clumsy I guess.

The multiple concussion articles all conclude that multiple concussions increase the chances of learning disability and permanent brain damage. I feel like with the exception of the grade 3, the others couldn't be that bad? Can someone enlighten me?

I had an MRI after the grade 3, everything looked fine. I'm 21. peace.
