Although 51 years old, I can still hear and react to a bass guitar noise played at full blast from our local "Arena" nearly two miles away, I can't abide the "thud thud thud" of the lower frequency. I also react badly to any high pitched noise, such as a baby or toddler screeching, and....also, even at my age, I can hear the notes of the so-called Mosquito alarm that is set to deter teenagers ! I am certainly not deaf! nor do I suffer from any hearing condition or mental health problem, but there must be someone out there just as ordinary as I am who is irritated just as much by noises that others don't seem to react to, or in many cases even hear.
