| Re: Alcohol
just a couple questions for ya dudeman.how much do you normally drink say,in a week?how much were you drinking prior to this all starting up?when taking a good look at the liver and the kidneys, you really do need much more than just the blood tests.if you really want to see how your liver is doing, obtain an ultrasound.you really do need to have both done in order to get the best overall pic of how things really are.the thing about organ damage is is wont show up until the damage reaches some specific level.my liver and kidneys are proof of that.i do have a kidney and liver disease but all of my labs to date are within the norms, still.but if you looked at my ultrasounds, you wouldn't even guess that my organs belong to those good labs, they are so filled with huge cystic development from PKD,and my kidneys are now over three times their normal size,BUT my labs are still good.it wouldn't hurt to just have the look at them just to make certain that the 'looks' match the labs, you know what i mean?it is always possible to have some level of organ disease that just has not reached that critical(shows up in labwork) point yet.how are your BPs?just what tests has your doc run on you?it wouldn't hurt to take a good look at the C spine and the brain maybe(with MRI)?just some thoughts.these are just other possible areas that could be causing at least some level of your symptoms and should at least be ruled out.
i did not even have a clue i had had this kidney/liver disease all of my life til around age 40,when my youngest son went into liver failure(age 12).we honestly didn't even know he was one bit sick either.it really is amazing how the body just keeps plugging along as if nothing is wrong til things hit the fan.
what symptoms are you having exactly?unfortunetly when trying to find reasons for symptoms its kind of a test and rule out kind of thing ya know?just keep pushing your doc for answers.good luck and please keep me posted on how things are going,K? FB
