Basically speaking (and maybe literally) you can drown from the inside out. It literally has killed people. So, stick with the 8 (8 oz) glasses a day. Some people can drink a bit more than that and some can get away with drinking a bit less than that but, experts call that amount the healthiest amount as a general rule. And, don't drink it all at once. That can kill you. Drink it throughout the day from some time after you get up in the AM to maybe an hour or more before you go to bed.
