Hello, something is happening to me. Usually my menstruation period last for 4-5 days or maybe 6.
Last month I did not have my period but this month since the 12th I'veen
spotting and then on the 19 of September I have it but very heavy until today I still have it like the first day. Is this normal for a 52 years old lady (next month 53?)
I was waiting to the end of this week to call my GYN but I am still worry about it.
Can someone tells me if this is something I have to call doctor urgent or should I wait?
Everyone in my office tells me is the "CHANGE" but never happened to me before.

Carmen.....
Your periods can get very erratic when you start menopause (the change). That's probably what's happening. You're certainly in the average age range. I would still call the GYN just to make sure it's nothing else and to ease your mind. You can also check on the Menopause Board on this site.
