Broken Sternum

About 2 years ago I had a 4-wheeler accident and broke my collar bone and hurt my chest.
I went to the doctor for my collar bone and it healed well.
But in the middle of my chest were my ribs come together I now have a knot of
bone were I believe my sternum has not grown back togeather.
When I lay on my side it is vary uncomfortable and when I move around I feel the bones move around.
The knot seems to be getting bigger. Can anything be done for it.
Thanks
