Exclamation I need information

Hello,
My name is Johnathon. I recently had an appendectomy, and I was wondering what the name is of the medication they had given me in the hospital. It sounded like ( dolotid ). I am not sure if that was the name is the medication. The only reason I am asking for help is because I really need to know the name is the pain killer. I am doing research for my school paper, and I need the name, information, and dosages on this medication.

Thanks,
Johnathon (jman91

Re: I need information

it was most likely dilaudid,a narcotic painkiller.this would be pretty standard stuff post op for that level of pain.if you want to know everything about your hospital stay, including the nursing notes, just call the hosp where you had the surgery and ask for their medical records dept.they will send out whats called a release of information for you to sign and send back.specifically ask for everything in your file including all nursing notes.that info would be contained there.this should give you the exact info you are looking for.they should also send the 'op notes'?these are the little rundown notes that every surgeon has to make after every surgery they do.it just tells what they did and how your surgery went.kind of interseting stuff about your own surgery.hope all is well now for you.FB
