an MRI with contrast(just highlights better)would show more of the hidden areas and also the vascular structures much more clearly.this could be some sort of a vascular thing.or even muscular.it isn't always something really bad that can cause a bit of neuro or head wierdness to occur.it could be stemming from any number of things.but an MRI would help to at least rule them out or something in.the fact that there was not pain,just the tightness could mean its just a muscle issue.an MRI is really what i would have done next.upper neck muscle tension can also cause some pretty strange feelings that feel like they are inside our heads,just because of how the muscles run and how they can also effect blood flow and nerves.hopefully this was just a one time head wierdness thing that wont happen again,but that MRI would be good.hope all goes well for you,please keep us posted.
