| "super-germs"
Hi. I am doing a project on the new wave of "supergerms" and was wondering if anyone could do answer a few questions for me for the interview portion of my interview. Thanks so much.
1. Do you feel the "super germs" such as MRSA, is going to create a big problem in the medical field in the future?
2. Through my research I have found that one of the main causes for the in killable germs is the over-use of antibiotics, which can cause your body to become immune. Should doctors have stricter rules on who and how much they give antibiotics to? Should antibiotics be used for simple things like a cold?
3. The cases of staff infections and MRSA have been on the rise. Do you know of any cases that could provide as a good example?
4. Do you know of any special tasks doctors, or even individuals, have or could take to help prevent catching a super germ?
5. Also, through my research blame has been put on antibacterial materials such as hand-soap, because bacteria can adapt to it through mutations. Do you believe antibacterial materials should still be used?
6. Do you feel that the government should be putting more pressure on drug companies to help discover new drugs to help the immunity? Should the government even get involved?
