 High Red Blood Cell Count
For the last couple of years my Hct 46.9 and Hgb 16.6 readings are right on the top of the range. I recently had another test done with the same results. The Dr. did a Erythropoietin test and the reading was 25.1 So far I'm really confused and wondering what this is all about. I read where there is some risk with a high red cell count in that it increases risk of a stroke. I just heard from the Dr. and he tells me that there is nothing to worry about at this time. Can anyone relate on this issue.
