Hi, Has anyone looked into alternative measures for getting rid of Lipoma (fatty tissue lumps under the skin) other than surgery?
Naturopathic pills, acupuncture etc?
I have a soft lumpy growth - under the skin in my cheek near my jawline - I have had numerous fine needle biopsies over the past 6 years, and it is non-cancerous - also termed lipoma. Apparently lipoma usually comes after a trauma to the area -in this case I can clearly date it back to post -root canal surgery where it started as as a small lump. Medical doctors have referred me to Ears Nose Throat Specialists, who have then referred me to Oral Surgeons and finally different levels of Plastic Surgeons with the choice to either leave it (elephant man?) or remove surgically.
They can only get to it by slicing the skin along my hairline behind from the forehead down to behind the ear near the chin, then peel the whole face open like a mask, remove the tumour then sew up again along the perimeter of the face. The say there is a slight chance of facial paralysis due to the high volume of nerves running through the face, and the nerves being caught up and entwined in the lump.
I do not want to go the surgery route, so I have been researching naturopathic options.
The internet shows lots of European remedies with 30 day guaranteed elimination etc..
Has anyone tried these remedies or other options like acupuncture etc.?

my advice is to have it surgically removed before it gets any larger, Try another surgeon if u need another opinion. I had one on my arm on my tricept, it sorta looked good, people used to ask me all the time if I worked out. So I left it there for 5 yrs, well on the 6th yr it took off and grew. It was the size of a baseball ( huge) It looked like I was deformed. In Feb. I had it surgically removed, yes it was entwined into the muscle in a couple of spots, but the doc said usuall they tend to grow in there own sack and when they ope u it slides right out. He had to slice my arm 4 inches to remove it. he was a general surgeon not a plastic surgeon. You cannot tell anything was even there not even a tiny scar. The doc was amazing I must say. Wish I did it sooner before it go too big. Go now and get it over with.

Would laser surgery be an option? Much less invasive, and much less scarring and recovery time from what I have heard.
