Stress can definitely be a factor in this heart rhythm. My mother-in-law is in her seventies. She and my father-in-law went to her regular doctor appointment but they had had an argument before she went in. She was very flustered and stressed.
The appointment showed some irregularities in her heart rhythms. When she got back to the house, they had ordered her to get an EKG at the mobile EKG van a week or so later. I assured her that it was very normal for heart rhythms to be strange when you are upset or stressed.
She had the EKG under comfortable frame of mind and everything checked out just fine.
If you feel you need to see the cardiologist again, do explain to him any stresses you are going through as they can take that into consideration.
