Flu Shot side effects or Virus - Open to All Other Health Topics Message Board

I had my flu shot 11/7. 11/13 I started feelin bad, no cold or runny nose, or coughing, just extremely tired, sleeping alot a sort of tightness in chest. No energy at all, and i'm usually bouncing off the walls. I'm not one for going to the Dr. Is there a virus going around. I've never had any effects from the flu shot before. Does anyone have any ideas???

Hi there! I hope you are not getting a side effect from it. I have never had a flu shot just for that very reason. I have heard good and bad. Many say they don't notice it at all. Others say they actually get the flu. I am paranoid about any kinds of illnesses so haven't done it yet. My doc wants me to since I work at the elementary school. We will see.....anyhow..I would think 6 days would be plenty time out to not have gotten it. I think you would might be getting a touch of something from being run down. Don't worry. Just rest up and keep on the vitamin C. Let us know if you here about any reactions to it. I want to know before I do it.

i get a flu shot every year and have never had a bad response to it.
i know others have. doctors say it's impossible to get a virus from it as there are no live ingredients in it.
you may have gotten a virus before the shot had kicked in though. that would be very bad timing.
