I've had slightly swollen glands for about 5 months now. The last month, the left side gland seems to have swollen even more. I also have this occassional mystery cough- I dont feel a drip or irritation, but out of the blue I will suddenly start coughing.

I visited my ENT back in the fall, and he sent me to get a barium swallow test b/c I felt like not all of my food was going down. They discovered that a section of the back of my tongue does not seem to swallow, but they though it wasn't a big deal and some swallowing exercises would help.

Other symptoms: fatigue, night sweats, dry, itchy skin (I'm guessing as a result of the sweating). Due to a family fluke, none of the women in my mothers family get fevers- when I had walking pneumonia a few years ago, I got a temp of 99.6.

I've had joint pain since I was about 14 (not RA) that has never been explained. Mostly in the wrist and fingers.

Various lung scans over the years show a small amount of fluid, which is dismissed each time. If I lay flat I have trouble breathing.

ANY ideas or suggestions appreciated! I have an appointment with a new primary next week and I'd love to have some ideas!
