I am so sick of being sick. It is so difficult anymore to tell what you are sick with. I refuse to go into a clinic to the Dr because I know I will just end up sicker in a few days or sick with something else. I wash my hands so much they are so dry. What I do notice however is that even during these times people still walk around sneezing and coughing and hacking and horking and they do not cough into their sleves or a tissue. It's all over everyone!! Both my husband and myself have been sick again for over a week now. I am so exhausted and wish there was a magic pill but I know there isn't so I don't understand why the Dr offices are so full of people with a flu, virus or cold. Maybe just to be in the company of other's with it? There is nothing a Dr can do, you have to ride it out-at home-in bed-and stay away from other's. The bugs out there are definately alot more resistant and more potent than they were when I was a kid. We would get maybe one flu and one cold a year and need to stay home for 2 or 3 days. Seems I have been sick with something for months and I have been staying home mostly because I don't have the energy to go out. I think after all this time I should go see my Dr but I am nervous to that because the clinics are so full of people who are looking for a quick fix when they should be home in bed. Has anyone else been down sick with something or rather for months? I am so full of flem I am amazed I haven't drowned in my sleep & I do ache all over-I hate it!!

Know what you mean, however, there comes a time you really do need to see a doctor. It is possible your problem could turn into pneumonia.

Wear a mask and see your doctor. Do not touch anything in the office. Use your own pen to sign in without touching the paper. Use Germ-X generously on your hands before you go. Use shirt-tail etc. to open doors. DO NOT touch your face unless you wash good before.

For your poor dry hands, use Crisco shortening just as you would a hand cream, hands will thank you. Crisco will soak in (only small amount needed) and hands will be smooth. AMLactin lotion is excellent for extra dry hands. I bought it at Costco for about $16 and the original LacHydren via prescription is $85 and my insurance would not cover.

Thank you Misty, it's getting scary to go out anywhere. I am really concious about not touching my face when I am out shopping and can't wait to get home to scrub my hands and face. I feel germy. I don't want to turn phobic but you sure do have to be safe out there. I used to think I would feel like a hypo if I began wearing mask's but I'm going to we should even go back to wearing gloves. I used to wonder why woman worde fancy gloves now I know. I do worry terribly about my respitory condition as I do have COPD and use 3 inhaler's and other meds for that. So don't need anything settleing in my lungs. Thanks for your response.
