A bit of history on me:

I had gastric bypass surgery in Feb of 2008. No problems with surgery, and have to date lost 165 lbs. I am now at my goal weight. In August of 2008, I started having pain in my upper left abdomen area, that extended into the ribcage area and around to the back. I didn't really pay much attention to it, as it wasn't happening every day. By September, the pain was pretty much daily, and I had started having severe heartburn along with it (whether I ate or not) I went in to see my GP in mid September, and he ordered some blood work, urinalysis and ultra sound. The blood work and urninalysis turned up nothing, and the ultrasound of the stomach, liver and gallbladder showed everything normal.

Once again I tried letting it go, figuring whatever it was would work itself out. By December I couldn't stand the pain anymore, it had gotten to the point that it was interfering with my daily activities. I went back to my GP, who finally gave me a prescription for some pain medication (Tylenol 3's, then endocet, then Morphine... none of which did much more than move the pain from unbearable to background pain) He sent me to see and specialist who ordered an endoscopy in February.

The first endoscopy showed I had a stricture in the stomach, with ulceration below the stricture. It was also shown that my heartrate was unusually low for someone that is not an athlete (45 - 49 bpm)The specialist put me on some medication for the ulcer, but no pain meds. My GP ordered Morphine for the pain (still only helped a little) In April I went back for a second endoscopy, and it showed that the ulceration was fixed up.

Since the pain was still happening, and continues to get worse, the specialist has referred me to a surgeon, who has ordered a CT scan. I go in for the scan on May 26th.

Does anyone have any ideas about what can be causing this. I'm scared to death the scan is going to come back normal, and I'll still be having this pain that continually wakes me up and causes me to feel like death would be an improvement.
