Bereavement

My husband died of cancer 0n 30th January 2009. I still cry for him every single day and want him back so much. Should I be coming to terms with this by now? Is this normal or am I dwelling in self pity. So very down but don't want to see a doctor or even less so a bereavement counsellor. What do I do?

Re: Bereavement

Turn outwards from yourself, and try to think of helping others. Perhaps even those who also lost their spouses. My wife passed three years ago,and I still miss her. I
continued my volunteer work in driving people to their destination.I would have been really in a pickle,if I didn't have that started.I asked for the sight-impaired clients, and
this gave me greater empathy. It also gave me a chance to honor my dear wife.
Best of luck....Bill
