Low Iron & a Chromosome Abnormality
Hello to all of you kind people, willing to help each other. In my case, right now I need a hug.
Yesterday I had my monthly check with my Hematologist. My blood counts have been below normal for a year and a half now. At its lowest my haemoglobin was 89 and my feritin 2. I have had several blood transfusions to top me up as I tried the IV Iron and had a really bad reaction to it.
Had some genetic testing done (from my bone marrow biopsy and blood work) and it has shown I have a chromosome abnormality. More tests were done and now I am waiting for the results. I fear this is the start of somethng bad like cancer. Has anyone had any experience like this?
