Unhappy Tired of being sick!

Hi, i am a 21 yr old male and over the last year i have been experiencing some things that are making me go crazy and i don't know where to turn.

-i've got several swollen lymph nodes in my neck (maybe other places but don't know). they aren't painful at all and are about an inch or maybe bigger. glands are also swollen.
-i've had some pretty bad night sweats over the past few months.
-not sleeping well.
-theres also something wrong with my hands and feet. they tingle at times and my hands are almost to the point where i can't use them for anything. its not that they hurt too bad (at times) it almost feels like theres too much feeling in them. they're very sensitive to certain textures and i've never had that problem before. they turn very red especially after using them. it also feels so good to run them under cold water. there's also something under the skin on my left thumb thats as hard as a bone and not moveable. it kind of hurts at times.
-hair has been falling out like crazy with itchy pimples on my head which has never happened to me in my life.

i've had so many tests done the past few months. cbc, ana, vitamin levels, thyroid, liver function, any blood test you can think of and it all came up normal except for the vitamin d which was low. mine is at a 17 but i couldn't see that affecting everything in my body like that especially now that ive ben taking vitamin d for a few months with no help. i also had a cat scan done on my neck and it showed the swollen nodes but my doctor has not done a biopsy... should i insist on it? i guess im just trying to see if anyone has any input on where i should go from here??? im only 21 and i feel like this is taking over my life!!!

any help would be awesome i feel like im dying!

I have unknown issues as well and am now on depression meds just to deal with everything but I keep pushing for the tests and I am trying a natural path. Anything to try to figure out what is wrong. I have done nothing but tests as well but I am hopping that one day it will be the right test and in the mean time I am learning to live with stomach issues that keeping me eating only about 15 things and trying to stay posative but it is hard.

I was told to get a book called thoughts and feelings taking control of your moods and your life it is helping me cope better with everything that is going on. I just want it to be over but since it can't be I am trying to live my life as best I can. the limitations when you shouldn't have any is very difficult mentally. I would push for the tests you have to fight for the right to have your life back as much as possible and the only way to do that is to figure out what is wrong. Hang in there.

Re: Tired of being sick!

It is very common for doctors to tell patients that they have normal thyroid test results when in fact their results are not normal at all. Do you have your thyroid results along with the ranges? If you do not have a copy of your lab reports, that would be your first course of action. Call the doctor and get a copy, then you can see for yourself what your results are and find out if indeed they are "normal". BTW, thyroid issues and low Vit. D often go hand in hand.
