Question I would like to wear earphone but my ears swell up

Hello this is my 1st ever posting.
I have had this problem with my ears for as long as i can remember!
When i wear earphones or headphones my ears start swelling up and then the earphones are pushed out and wont go back in. If i wear head phones only the outer parts of my ears swell. The headphones do leave me with pressure pains after i take them off when i have watched a movie.
Is there any way i can get my ears to be less sensitive like with creams or any health supplements that may aid me with better protection!
I want to simply listen to music on the bus! Without the infection.
Its no insect bite! as some of my other google searches have found.
My ears even swell up when i touch them with my fingers.
I used to think maybe it happens to everybody! and they got used to it.
But now i hope i am not simple a rare person who is effected.
I would be greatful to any feed back regarding this matter.
Thankyou.

Have you informed your doctor of this issue? Perhaps there would be an antibiotic treatment that may not only alleviate the infection but aid in dealing with whatever sensitivities may be the underlying cause.

Re: I would like to wear earphone but my ears swell up

I have not talked to the doctor about this because as i assumed as long as i don't touch my ears they will not swell up. and maybe the doctor would recommend the same thing! i have google searched for answers for a long time! and it seems my sensitive ears reacting this way is so rare! that i have not been finding anything. I will mention my ears to the doctor next time i visit him. It would help if there were a type of earphones that were designed for people like me! but because there is not a big call for special earphones from the public! there wont be the production!

You could also try Noise-Canceling headphones (google them) , not only is the sound quality of most brands drastically improved over conventional headphones, but these have more of a cup shape to them that might lessen the contact with your ears. Don't be turned off by the expensive prices, there are more affordable models. Some stores have display models that you could test. Just a thought.

I think you got Caulliflougher ear [bad spelling] It causes your ear to swell up, you should see a doctor and tell him about it, he'll/she'll probably have some antibiotics for you. Hope you feel better mate.
