A few days ago, probably about a week now, I woke up with soreness in my neck below my ears and a tension headache. I believe it was from swollen lymph nodes. Throughout the next couple of days it progressed and the pain spread across my entire jaw line and felt bruised as if someone had punched me. Throughout all this I've felt dizzy as well. I noticed that my jaw 'clicks' or 'pops' everytime i open it. I felt tension near my ears and my headache would not let up. Now the pain has subsided in my jawline but turned into a sore throat, and I keep spitting up clear mucus with a bit of brownish yellow. The clicking is still in my jaw and my headache comes and goes. It also feels bruised at my jaw joint when I press on it. Could all these symptoms be related? What is it? I thought it was TMJ disorder at first but i am not sure if the sore throat and mucus make sence if thats the case. I do have a bad overbite and have a history of grinding and clenching my teeth though.
You need to see your primary care doctor..you may have a sinus infection. You sore throat could be cause by the drainage from your nasal cavity down the back of your throat.
Hope you feel better soon.
