My son

My 23yr old son had surgery for a tumor that was compressing on his spinal cord the doctor did a biopsy and my son has not been able to move from the waist down and has no bowel or urine control and when I asked the doctor if my son had suffered a spinal injury and I quote the word he used. "Obviously" I thought that was the most insensitive thing a doctor to could have said to a mother whose son is laying up bedridden in the hospital from a surgery that was done by that particular doctor and mind you my son has been in the hospital for 3wks and the doctor who performed the surgery has only seen him twice since the operation. Has anyone had this type of experience with doctors and spinal injures.

Re: My son

Hello Kimberly

I have never walked in your shoes, but your post just broke my heart. That doctor might be a great surgeon, but he has forgotten his humanity. I am sorry he has caused hurt like this.

As a mom, I have nothing but empathy for the entire situation. My thoughts and prayers are with your son and you... and with that doctor as well. Every good wish for Son's recovery.

Hugs
