Tooth abcess extreme pain
Im in so much pain right now with an abcessed tooth and nothing is releiving the pain. I found a script of antibiotics (azithromycin 250mg) and I'm eager to begin taking them. The thing is, Im allergic to Sulfa and I dont think this antibiotic has sulfa in it but I want to make sure. Does anyone have any info on this?: :(

If you are in a lot of pain with your tooth antibitics alone may not work.

You did not say where you got the antibiotic only that you have other than you just found it.I would not take any prescription unless it was prescribed for the tooth ache that you now have.

I had a abcessed tooth not long ago and it got very bad and it took iv antibiodics to cure the infection and having that tooth removed.

I hope that you are feeling better soon!

As jcjwillis said, a tooth abscess can get very serious, don't mess around with it. Go to your doctor and get antibiotics and then see a dentist asap. Antibiotics usually only knock down the infection but the abscess will keep coming back unless you deal with the tooth as well.
