Re: Sick and hopeless.

Hi Lindsay:
Just wondered how you are doing? Are you any better or are you still suffering the same symptoms? It could have been a combination of things causing your symptoms, and getting that cleanse could have helped some of the symptoms to go away. Also if you don't want to be on anxiety meds, you could try some natural things, I've tried Valerian root from the health food store, or they sell it sometimes at grocery stores. Its a naturally calming herb, also a cup of chamomile tea everyday along with other herbs that they can recommend for you at the health food store can be relaxing.
I hope you are feeling better.
Kanded

Re: Sick and hopeless.

I have a chronic fungal infection called coccidiomycosis, also known as Valley Fever. Although you don't live in the epidemic region which is mainly the southwestern part of the US and California, your symptoms are very similar to what a lot of the victims of this fungal infection experience. Recent studies show that this fungal infection, (comes from breathing in a fungal spore in the soil, or plants that were planted in the infectious soil and may have been shipped to non-epidemic areas, or hay that may have been shipped to farming areas) is now becoming widespread throughout the nation. I am sorry you are so ill. It's hard but don't stop searching for an answer.

I was doing better but now I appear to be getting worse again. The stomach issues almost went away for a while, now they are back but not as bad. I was hoping to get better when I moved out of my apartment on January 1st because my old place had a mold problem but that must not have been it... I've been feeling like my blood sugar's getting low even though it's not. I have to eat every two hours at least, and eat really filling things or I'll feel like my blood sugar's crashing, but I've been testing it and it's normal. I did have some results come back that I was borderline hyperthyroid but that seems to be getting more normal now and I don't have Graves' or anything.

Re: Sick and hopeless.

I'm sorry you're still feeling sick. People that have developed issues due to mold exposure can expect those issues to continue for some time. It is probably still in your system since mold spores thrive in humid environments. You need to seek a doctors help to get rid of this problem. Also I felt at one point that I was going crazy and had dizziness and other symptoms, it turned out that my potassium levels were super low. So it might be a good idea to get a more comprehensive panel of bloodwork that might test your electrolytes and other minerals.
It does sound like you are somewhat better, so be encouraged by that! I had a friend who was severely ill, but she just kept eating healthy, exercising and taking her supplements, and eventually she got well. But she had to do research on it. It may take awhile to feel better, but keep doing whatever you are doing, and don't give up!
