A friend of mine is currently in the hospital due to an accidental or intentional (I haven't heard which yet) overdose on various medications. I don't know much about this incident since its only just happened. But I did learn her vitals as followed: Blood pressure was 116/72 mm-Hg, Pulse 89 bpm, body temp was 92.7 F, respiratory rate was 6, saturation (oxygen?) was 24%.
if that is the blood oxygen saturation rate then I'd be quite worried I believe, the normal is 95-100 percent. if that's what it is I'm no dr or health professional. Hope everything will be ok, HUGS, Cathy
The blood pressure and pulse are ok. But the saturation being 24% is very very low, the respiration rate being 6 is also very low (16 would be normal?), and the body temperature of 92.7 is also very low (97.2 would be more normal). Are you sure you read these stats okay? I don't see how the blood pressure or pulse would be normal if your friend really had those other stats. I hope your friend is doing okay.
