Intense pain just standing still

Currently I'm on the recovery side of a staph infection on my lower leg. I've been keeping it elevated at night and of course when I stand up the blood rushes to it causing tremendous pain. It would subside a bit and as I began to walk it would all but go away. Now how ever, if I stand still for seconds there is terrible pain and when I try to return to walking I can barely stand. Should I just amputate? I've got a fresh new sawzall blade.
Seriously though, this is becoming debilitating. What can I do?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Re: Intense pain just standing still

Hi...have you been back to your doctor to check if the infection is receding or if you have something else happening?

when did you start treatment? and what exactly are you on?

Are you at work/school or at home?
