Coughing after eating (mainly fried food)

I've noticed that after I eat certain foods (more often than not), I will get a productive cough almost immediately afterward...for up to an hour or so or if I just cough a lot for a shorter period of time. No pain or anything. But when I breathe in I can feel and hear flem (or something) deep in my throat and possibly my lungs

I always forget to mention this to my doctor.

Is this something that is normal or something I should worry about?

I have somewhat weird tonsils, so I'm wondering if it could have anything to do with that (that's in another thread).

I appreciate any input.

Thanks guys!

Re: Coughing after eating (mainly fried food)

Bump. I'd really appreciate any input here...

I saw my doctor today, and he said it most likely is nothing to worry about. And that if it was in my lungs I would know it and it wouldn't be just a small amount of coughing for a short period of time.

I just don't get this.

I just had spagetti and a piece of texas toast, and I have the cough. You can hear it when I breathe in.
